A Millennial Stone Forest
The limestone massif of Tsingy de Bemaraha is a karst landscape of exceptional rarity. Over millions of years, erosion has sculpted these gigantic stone needles — “tsingy” — a Malagasy word meaning where one cannot walk barefoot.
This mineral labyrinth of more than 72,000 hectares was recognised by UNESCO in 1990 for its outstanding universal value, becoming one of the most visited natural sites in Madagascar.

Exceptional Flora & Fauna
The deep gorges and suspended forests of the Tsingy shelter a globally unique ecosystem, preserved by the sheer inaccessibility of the terrain.
13 Species of Lemurs
Decken’s Sifaka, Red-fronted Brown Lemur, Fulvous Lemur… Observe these endemic primates in their natural habitat.
Endemic Reptiles
Over 45 reptile species including the famous Parson’s Chameleon and iridescent Geckos found only in Madagascar.
Exceptional Flora
From majestic Baobabs to wild Orchids and Pachypodium, over 80% of plant species are endemic to the island.
